Elephants Sanctuary: A Place to Connect with Nature and Wildlife in Cambodia

Updated: Mar 1, 2024

Elephants Centaury is a wildlife sanctuary that provides a safe and natural home for 14 elephants, most of whom were rescued from abusive or exploitative situations, such as logging, begging, or circus. The sanctuary was founded in 2012 by a group of passionate animal lovers and conservationists, who wanted to create a place where elephants can live freely and happily, without being forced to perform or work for humans. The sanctuary also aims to educate the public about the plight of elephants in Cambodia and the world, and to promote ethical and responsible tourism that respects the animals and the environment.

Elephants Centaury is open to visitors who want to meet the elephants, feed them, walk with them, and observe them in their natural habitat. You can also learn about their personalities, histories, and behaviors from the friendly and knowledgeable staff and guides. You can also visit the on-site museum, where you can see exhibits and artifacts related to the history and culture of elephants in Cambodia and Asia. You can also enjoy a delicious meal at the restaurant, where you can taste authentic Khmer cuisine and organic vegetables grown at the sanctuary.
